I’ve been busy sewing and painting over the past weeks. I will be adding paintings and sewn items into each respective shop every week.
I thought you might like a sneak peek at the smartphone wristlets and tote that will be showing up in the SibStudioSewing shop on Etsy this week.

The black and orange houndstooth is already listed. The rest of the wristlets will be listed over the next week. These will fit all iPhones, and most of the android phones up to 5.25 inches in length.
Wine Tote by SibStudioSewing
This is my newest large sturdy tote. The straps are sewn from the bottom to the top and inside are elastic loops for holding one or two wine bottles. It would make a great picnic tote, a housewarming or wedding shower gift, as well as a great tote for the wine lover.
I finished a new tote this weekend. I saw this sailboat fabric a few months ago and fell in love with it. I love the artistic brushstroke sailboats all done in blue. The white background highlights the boats perfectly. I paired it with a navy blue duck and navy straps to stay true to the simple blue and white of the fabric.
I’ve pulled the bag outwards so you can see the beautiful boats. You can pack this bag with 4 – 5 rolled beach towels and still have room for sunscreen, water bottles, and lunch.
I tweaked the construction of this tote. I used polypropylene webbing and sewed it into the bottom seam as well as up and down the entire bag. The polypropylene webbing is strong, waterproof , does not absorb dirt or water, while still being gentle to the hands. I also tweaked the interior bottom support so it doesn’t buckle when the load gets a little heavy. I think this is my favorite tote… so far : ) You can find it now at SibStudioSewing .
All my private client orders are finished and in their happy hands. So now on to sewing and painting for my shops! This week I am adding new smartphone wristlets to SibStudioSewing and miniature paintings to SibStudio Etsy shops. If you are local, I am bringing in new miniature paintings next week to the CCAA mall gallery as well.
These are some of the smartphone wristlets that will be showing up at SibStudioSewing
These wristlets are large enough to fit the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy, as well as an iPhone 4. They have a front pocket that fits a credit cards and id’s. The heavy duty velcro tab secures over the pocket opening to keep everything safe and snug. They are an easy, all in one, way of carrying your essentials when you don’t want to be weighed down by a big purse.
I posted last time on the awesome cheetah suede cloth I found over the summer. I’ve been using it for making smartphone wristlets locally and online. I thought you might like to see how the fabric works up in a wristlet. I’ve included some of the wristlets I’ve made out of real suede as well. Suede is thicker and in my opinion much hard to sew. But I love the final product and the velvety softness.
This wristlets can hold smartphones, iPhone 5 and of course iPhone 4. They are perfect for those days you don’t want to lug around a big purse but still carry your essentials – cell phone, keys, money, credit cards.
