Green Designer Tweed Bag

This lovely green tweed bag is my newest bag. It’s a perfect sized rectangle shaped bag with top zippers. An adjustable strap allows the bag to be worn as a shoulder bag, or lengthen to a crossbody bag. I love the gold ring details on this bag.

The green tweed is a gorgeous designer tweed from Italy. It has a nice soft feel with a tight weave, making this fabric pleasant to touch as well as sturdy. I bought this fabric for a custom order and had some leftover. I thought it would be perfect for this bag!

I love the look of this bag and the size ( 10 x 7 x 4 inches ) is a great size – not too big and not too small. The tweed makes this bag perfect for work to evening. I used the Laverna pattern from SewYours for this bag. I create & use my own patterns for much of my sewing. However, there are some amazing bag makers out there recently & it is fun to try out their patterns and learn new ways. 🙂

In addition to the lovely gold ring details on the front, the back has a generous outer zipper – perfect for phones and keys.

Inside is a fun green, white, and black floral print. There another zipper pocket and 2 addition slip pockets as well.

Halloween Wristlets

This fun pumpkins and jack-o-laterns wristlet will fit the regular sized iPhone 14 and phones up to 6.25 inches. It is the same adorable fabric as the longer wristlet from a previous post.

One of my customers picked out this fabric for a custom order. I purchase the fabric for my customers for custom orders. It’s much easier for everyone and streamlines the process of custom orders. I often have left over fabric from the orders. I just love this cute fabric and had enough leftover for a few phone wristlets. I purchased this fabric from CopaGorda on Etsy I believe the fabric is from StudioE, “Small pumpkins”

This cute wristlet has little white and orange ghosts on orange fabric. It will fit the regular sized iPhone 13 & 14 and other phones up to 6.25 inches. This fabric is one I picked along the way on my travels. It’s a Dear Stella fabric and just so fun. These adorable Halloween wristlets are posted today on my shop and really for purchase. Enjoy!

Extra Long Phone Wristlets

I’ve had requests for vertical wristlets for those extra long phones. I usually make them as a custom order but I had a break between custom orders and sewed up a few to put up on my shop.

I make lots of horizontal zipper wristlets and bags for the longer phones. But I am always happy to make the longer vertical wristlets. These two cuties are already listed on my Etsy shop.

These two wristlets will fit those extra long phones like the iPhone 14 plus & phones up to 7 inches by 3.5 inches. They are exactly the same are my regular sized smartphone wristlets with the front pocket, key ring, and removable wristlet strap – just longer and slightly wider.

This fun wristlet is perfect for the STEM student, your favorite chemist, chemistry major or science teacher. The cotton fabric has all the best chemistry equations and beakers, flasks, etc.

This cutie features pumpkins and adorable jack-o-laterns, just in time for Halloween. Both are ready for purchase on my Etsy shop. Enjoy!

Ironing interfacing backing

A peek behind the seams today. I’m bulk ironing interfacing backing to a new batch of wristlets and makeup bags. I cut out some more fall/Halloween items & today I am prepping them for sewing.

I use Pellon SF-101 for my interfacing. It gives the wristlets & makeup bags strength without a lot of bulk. This interfacing fuses with the fabric, giving it strength, so the final wristlet or makeup bag is sturdier and will hold up to everyday use.

The iron I am using is a Chi titanium ceramic. My last iron failed and my back up iron failed as well, – bad day for sure! I went on a trip locally to find an iron asap, and found this super iron. I didn’t know Chi made irons, but I figured since they make hair straightening irons, I’d try it.

Turns out I really like this iron. It gets hot, can handle being used for hours, and the ceramic plate doesn’t stick to the interfacing. or fabric. A really smooth ironing experience and it’s not heavy either. Not an endorsement, just my personal experience. 🙂 Enjoy your day!
