The monarch fabric is paired with a beautiful black faux leather. There is a zipper pocket on one side of the bag.

Black zipper closure with a butterfly zipper pull. The bag hardware is gunmetal.

The bag has an adjustable crossbody strap that can be shortened to a shoulder bag length.

Inside is lined with the butterfly fabric. There is zipper pocket as well.

I used the Eva bag pattern by Shambella Bag Design. I wanted to showcase the butterfly fabric and this pattern is perfect for just that!

isn’t this one of kind bag the cutest?!!

Summer has been a bit busy around here. But bags are sewn and slowly listed. 🙂 This is the newest bag – the Dessert Bag! This fabric is photorealistic print of all your favorite desserts. Cakes, pies, ice cream, brownies and cookies! I love this fabric – it’s so fun and delicious.

The cotton fabric is securely bonded to stiff interfacing for strength and sturdiness. It is paired with black faux leather and gunmetal hardware. The bottom of the bag is black faux leather for easy cleaning. It has a zipper closure with a fun cupcake zipper pull

There is a removable and adjustable crossbody strap as well. Outside has a pocket on each side – perfect for cellphones and keys.

Inside is lined with a fun brown, pink, and orange geometric print. There is a large zipper pocket and 2 more slip pockets. The bag also has foam interfacing that helps hold the bag’s shape and is more comfortable to hold.

This bag was really fun to sew. The fabric is so fun, and I thought this bag style would be prefect for showcasing all the yummy desserts. It would make a great statement bag for your favorite pastry chef, dessert baker, and anyone who loves bakery goods. It’s even on sale right here: Sibstudiosewing Enjoy!

Black and White Tweed Purse

Posted in Fresh From My Sewing Machine, and Sewing: Finished Bags & Pouches

This sophisticated black, white, and a touch of silver tweed is the perfect work to evening purse.

black & white tweed purse

I love this tweed fabric. It is a tightly woven tweed and has a nice feel to it. There are stands of black, white and just a bit of silver to give it some light. I paired this bag with a silver chain and hardware to accent the silver.

The bag measures 11 x 6.5 x 3. I added a silver turn lock closure. There are 2 chain connectors at the top of the bag. I balanced the connectors so the bag does not tip forward when you carry it on your shoulder.

The silver curb chain is removable. I usually attach my chains permanently to the connectors, but I thought I would try making them removable. Sometimes my customers would like to replace it with a favorite chain strap of their own.

This beautiful bag is my design. It is a variation of a bag I designed for a customer’s special orders. It is already posted and ready to ship: Black Tweed Purse Enjoy!
