My New Trick For Getting A Great Flower Photo
I had an interesting idea for how to photograph a flower. It's probably new to just me and has done by many others…… but, it worked fantastically.
I was trying to get a close up photo of a Meyer Lemon flower – my latest favorite new house plant. There were so many leaves and background distractions in the photos, so I grabbed a sheet of black paper. Held behind the flower, it allowed me to get a photo of just the flower. And WOW – a really great photo. Take a look and see what you think!
Isn't that wonderful?!
The black background really makes the white pop.
and here is the baby lemon ?
Love that idea and the flower just jumps off the shot – very well done:)
Thank you for sharing your wonderful trick. Your flower pictures are so beautiful!
Wow, great trick!
Thank you! I was really excited about how well the photos turned out!
Love the black background! Thank you for posting.
Great idea! By the way I've been using a similar one – I put a dark blue fleece blanket behind to use as a background. For example here: <a href="http://blog.kanelstrand.com/2011/05/4-steps-to-your-natural-beauty.html">http://blog.kanelstrand.com/2011/05/4-steps-to-your-natural-beauty.html</a>
Ups, something went wrong with the link, sorry!
Here it is again: http://blog.kanelstrand.com/2011/05/4-steps-to-your-natural-beauty.html
Kanelstrand – the dark blue works really well too! Makes the flowers pop. I think it gives the whole photo an elegant look too.
