Some Fresh Changes for 2026

Posted in Peeking Behind the Easel, and Peeking Behind the Seam

Happy New Year! Hope everyone is well and enjoying life! I”ve been working on some tweaks and upgrades here.

First news is I have removed free ship on my Etsy shops. The good news for you is I have also dropped my prices.

Shipping has increased every year and even 2x a year. Free shipping is added into the cost of each product, which each time the shipping goes up, so does my product price. I am not happy with how this is working for my customers, and it’s making my products uncompetitive and over priced. So 2026 brings a better way. I have lowered my prices on most items. And while there is a shipping fee now, I think it will be minimum with the lower pricing.

Second news, while I am still happily running my Etsy shops, I have finally loaded my sewing products into my Shopify store. I have had the painting there for a bit. Now my sewing is loading as we speak. I will be adding them into the visible part of the shop over the next few weeks. This will give me some freedom to add some new products without making my Etsy shops look like a mess, & accommodate those customers who don’t like shopping Etsy.

So you will have 2 places to shop now! My Etsy shops and my new online shopify shop: Sibstudioartsewing.com . I will be adding this shop to the header here shortly.

And as a new year begins, I have oodles of ideas for new paintings, new bags & purses, and lots more! Enjoy the rest of your day and stop by again for updates as I create and make one of a kind product!

Newest Tote Bag: Watermelons

Posted in Sewing: Finished Bags & Pouches

I just listed this beauty on my Etsy shop yesterday evening. Bright and cheerful watermelon slices makes for the perfect summer tote bag. Big and roomy to fit all your needs: 14 x 15 x 6.25 inches.

I always add lots of pockets to my tote bags so they are really practical as well as fun. This bag had 2 large outer pockets and 5 more inside.

There is a zipper panel closure so you can close of the bag as well as leave it opened up wide, depending on your needs.

I really like the fabric – so pretty and summery, yet nice and sturdy for actual use.
