I think of dandelions as a summer flower. But here we are, still spring, and the dandelions have arrived.
I liked this one because the seeds were all ready to pick up a wind gust and have an adventure! I can picture in my mind several painting ideas from this photo. I hope it inspires a painting or perhaps even a poem for you!

The Viburnums are in full bloom. We have several types of the Viburnum in our year. The Korean Spice viburnum blooms the same time as the lilacs and smells just as wonderful.
This species – Shasta viburnum – look funny to me because their flowers sit on top of the branch and leaves. I like their pure white petals and the second cluster of tiny flowers in their centers. The contrast of white petals on top of the dark green leaves would make a beautiful painting.

We’re getting pretty close to the end of spring and onward to summer. But the Azaleas don’t care! They are almost ready to burst open in this photo.
And there they go – full beautiful blooms! These beauties prefer to hang out under the evergreen trees.
