Here’s the latest bag that is finished and ready to take home!
This bag is so pretty in real life. It has purple, pink, and yellow crocuses, berries, and other flowers on a white background. The fabric is a beautiful printed denim – I just love the fabric! It would be a great bag for spring, Easter, Mother’s Day and of course, all year round!
I was designing my own pattern for a zipper tote bag when I came across this pattern from Merge Patterns. It was very close to what I was working on but I love this exterior zipper pocket design so I used this pattern to learn a new way with pockets. 🙂 I used this pattern a few weeks earlier on my Stars and Moon tote bag.
The size is great – 14 x 12 x 5 inches – not too big but big enough. The exterior pocket on the above and below photos shows the slip pocket between the two sewn in straps and a zipper pocket as well. I like having a outer slip pocket for phones. The zipper pocket is great for keys so they don’t fall out if the bag falls over in the car.
There is another slip pocket on the other side of the bag exterior. The straps are sewn in from the bottom to the top so this bag is secure and sturdy. The straps and handles are the same printed denim. The denim handles are comfortable when holding this bag.
Inside is a fun purple and gold swirl cotton fabric. There is a large zipper pocket and 4 slip pockets. Plenty of room for all your everyday needs! The top of the bag zippers up completely to keep your items secure.
