Mushroom Hobo Style Shoulder Bag

Posted in Fresh From My Sewing Machine, and Sewing: Finished Bags & Pouches

How cute is this bag?

I love this faux leather vinyl and it turned into such a beautiful shoulder bag! I opted to use the vinyl for the entire exterior of the bag, instead of pairing it with a solid. The faux leather is a high quality vinyl that should last and last.

This lovely shoulder bag is a hobo style bag measuring 14 x 11 x 5 inches. It’s a great size for everyday. It would make a fun statement bag as well as a bag for the person who is wild about mushrooms.

I added a zipper panel to this bag. The zipper is long so you can keep the zipper open for a hobo style bag or zip it up to keep your bag closed. The zipper pull is a little gnome – he seemed to go well with a mushroom bag 🙂

Inside is roomy with a large zipper pocket and another slip pocket. I modified the Estrella Bag pattern by Oro Rosa patterns for this bag. It’s one of my favorite bags to sew that isn’t my own design 🙂

This beautiful one of a kind bag is already posted on my shop: Mushroom Hobo style shoulder bag More bags coming!

Bacon and Egg Bag

Posted in Fresh From My Sewing Machine, Peeking Behind the Seam, and Sewing: Finished Bags & Pouches

How cute is this bacon and egg bag?!! If you are a bacon lover – this bag is for YOU!

Perfect for brunch, breakfast meetings, your favorite keto dieter, & bacon lover!

I just posted this new bag on my Etsy shop today! I am adding it to my current sale as well. This fun circle shaped bag has plenty of pockets outside and inside. It can be carried by the top handle or the adjustable crossbody strap.

It also features a sunny side up egg zipper pull and inside is egg yolk yellow and white polka dots!

As you can tell, I had a lot of fun making this bag 🙂 It started with some photorealistic bacon cotton fabric that I’ve hung on to until the perfect bag idea came to me. The egg zipper pull synched the idea of this bag for me. I added a luscious black faux leather to pair with the bacon cotton. This one of a kind bag is ready to ship & can be found one my Etsy shop: SibStudioSewing

Another New Mini backpack

Posted in Fresh From My Sewing Machine, Peeking Behind the Seam, and Sewing: Finished Bags & Pouches

I’ve finished another mini sling bag. These little sling bags are similar to backpack but have one strap to slide over one shoulder or wear as a crossbody bag. The bag can be worn on your front or on your back. I prefer this style because it is easy to reach the inside of the bag while you are wearing it.

I love the fabric used for this bag. It is a watercolor style flower print cotton. I love the colors, the choice of lilies, orchids, berries and splatters of colors on the background. I thought it would make a beautiful bag.

I add a stiff interfacing to the back of this cotton fabric so it is sturdy and holds it’s shape. There is also a bit of fleece batting to add a gentle cushioning and comfort for carrying this bag.

I love adding a fun zipper pull to the zipper opening. This bag has a little sliver butterfly. I thought it paired well with the flowers.

I used a cute white and pink floral cotton for the insides. There is a zipper pocket and a slide pocket for your phone, keys, cards, etc.

The back has a D ring on each lower side so you can chose if you prefer to carry it on the left or the right. The strap is adjustable to fit girls and women, as well as giving you the easy choice to adjust to crossbody or to shorten it for a over the shoulder sling.

I used the fun pattern from LindsHandmade: Mav Pack for this bag. I tweaked the pattern a bit to add my own touches to this mini sling bag. You can find this beautiful sling bag already listed on my SibStudioSewing Etsy shop. Enjoy!

Halloween Wristlets

Posted in Fresh From My Sewing Machine, and Sewing: Finished Bags & Pouches

This fun pumpkins and jack-o-laterns wristlet will fit the regular sized iPhone 14 and phones up to 6.25 inches. It is the same adorable fabric as the longer wristlet from a previous post.

One of my customers picked out this fabric for a custom order. I purchase the fabric for my customers for custom orders. It’s much easier for everyone and streamlines the process of custom orders. I often have left over fabric from the orders. I just love this cute fabric and had enough leftover for a few phone wristlets. I purchased this fabric from CopaGorda on Etsy I believe the fabric is from StudioE, “Small pumpkins”

This cute wristlet has little white and orange ghosts on orange fabric. It will fit the regular sized iPhone 13 & 14 and other phones up to 6.25 inches. This fabric is one I picked along the way on my travels. It’s a Dear Stella fabric and just so fun. These adorable Halloween wristlets are posted today on my shop and really for purchase. Enjoy!
